My journey through the medical field:
My journey at CTMC began in 2007 where I started to work hands on with patients as a medical assistant. I graduated with my BSN in 2017 and started working at the bedside as a RN at a level I trauma hospital. After months of being at the bedside, I realized my true passion was working with families and building relationships with my patients as they grow and develop. This led me to enroll in the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program, which I graduated from in 2021 after completing my clinical rotations here at CTMC. Since graduation I have been working at CTMC as the Practice Administrator.
I have decided to start seeing patients on a part-time basis but will continue with my role as Practice Administrator.
My Passions/Interests:
My purpose and desire is to build long standing relationships with children and their families from birth into adulthood. My passion is fueled by knowing that I have the power to impact children even if it is in the most minute situation. I strongly believe that you or your child’s healthcare decisions should be made through collaboration and shared decision making. Being diagnosed with asthma at the age of 2 and spending a lot of time in the hospital throughout childhood fueled my desire to help patients with asthma to ensure they can do all the things they love!
About me:
In my free time, you can find me spending time with my three daughters, Anika (21), Autumn (14), and Adelia (7). I enjoy working in the yard, either planting flowers, gardening, or trying to get rid of crab grass, all while I listen to Morgan Wallen!
